Top 10 most exclusive streets in Spain: Spain has a lot of exclusive neighborhoods, not only on the Costa del Sol. In this blog, we look at Spain’s most exclusive and valuable streets (according to Idealista data), which, as a result, often also make for the best real estate investments. Real estate on these streets is worth a great deal mainly because of its good location.
10. Paseo Marítimo, Palma (€4,950/m2)
This street in Mallorca has increased in value the most of the entire top 10, with a price increase of as much as 10% compared to last year. This increase brought the average prices of properties in the Paseo Paseo Marítimo to €4,950/m2.
9. Beachfront streets of Puerto Banus, Marbella (€5,000/m2)
Of course, the Costa del Sol cannot be missing from this list. Although the entire region is known for exclusive real estate that is an excellent investment, the beachfront streets of Marbella’s famous Puerto Banus stand out. These streets are pooled in the study and are worth about €5,000/m2 on average.
8. El Sardinero, Santander (€5,115/m2)
Exclusive streets can also be found in the very north of Spain. At the beautiful beach in El Sardinero in Santander is real estate that costs an average of about €5,115/m2.
7. Paseo Marítimo, Cadiz (€5,200/m2)
Cadiz is one of the few Andalusian port cities not on the Mediterranean Sea, but on the Atlantic Ocean. This city also boasts a very exclusive street. Property prices in the Paseo Marítimo actually increased 4% year-on-year to €5,200.
6. Paseo de Ciudadela, Navarro Reverter and Colón, Valencia (€5,250/m2)
Paseo de Ciudadela, Navarro Reverter and Colón in Valencia all experienced very strong price increases of 9.5%, making them the second strongest risers in this list. Property prices there are at €5,250/m2. Colón also overlooks the Mercado de Colón, a public market in a Valencian art nouveau building.
5. Centro – Malagueta, Malaga (€5,500/m2)
Also higher on the list, the Costa del Sol returns: Centro – Malagueta in Malaga experienced practically no price increases compared to the previous year. However, real estate prices in the old center are stable at €5,500/m2.
4. Abandoibarra – Plaza de Euskadi, Bilbao (€5,780/m2)
This neighborhood and square in the largest city in the Basque Country also experienced a sharp rise in prices. Real estate there became 7% more expensive and now costs an average of €5,780/m2.
3. Streets in the Centro-Miraconcha, San Sebastian (€8,040/m2)
In San Sebastian, there are a lot of exclusive streets in the Centro-Miraconcha: Avenida de la Libertad, Plaza de Guipúzcoa and Calle Hernani. These streets made a substantial price jump compared to #4, and real estate there increased 3.75% year-on-year to €8.040/m2.
2. Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona (€10,000/m2)
Large price jumps are also evident within the top three. Property in Barcelona’s Paseo de Gracia in second place costs an average of about €10,000/m2 and was up 3.5% from the previous year.
1. Calle Serrano, Madrid (€11,400/m2)
Little surprise that the most expensive street is in the Spanish capital: At the top of Spain’s most exclusive streets is Madrid’s luxury shopping street Calle Serrano with an average property price of €11,400/m2. However, real estate prices in this neighborhood did not rise very strongly at only 3.5%.
These were the most exclusive streets in Spain. Although prices here can be high, there is little new construction found on these streets.
